Tourism cook up a 67-minute storm for Mandela Day

Cape Town Routes Unlimited, the Department of Correctional Services and the Cape Winelands District Municipality have partnered this year to stage a Cook for Madiba on the prison grounds of Drakenstein Correctional Centre (Victor Verster Prison) in Paarl. A team of local celebrity chefs were invited prepare meals that Mandela was served during his imprisonment. The food was served to 67 senior citizens, 67 farm-workers and 67 unemployed youth in honour of the 67 years of Mandela's sacrifice for justice.
