Wessa appoints Melenie Parsons and Adrienne West to senior leadership roles

Wessa (Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa) announces the appointment of Melenie Parsons as head of human resources, and Adrienne West as head of philanthropy and resource mobilisation.

Parsons brings over 25 years of experience in HR strategy, performance management, labour law compliance and organisational culture. In her new role, she will lead Wessa’s people strategy, including employee engagement, succession planning and development programmes.

West joins Wessa with more than 15 years’ experience in fundraising, communications and stakeholder engagement. She will oversee philanthropic partnerships and resource mobilisation, with a focus on building cross-sector collaboration to fund conservation and community development.
