The ABF secures sponsorship deal with Oracle Airtime Sales

The newly relaunched ABF, Vital Support Fund, has secured a sponsorship deal with Oracle Airtime Sales to the value of R150 000.
Fahmeeda Cassim-Surtee, General Manager: Sales at Oracle has confirmed the provision of three R50 000 airtime packages. “Oracle Airtime Sales has long been a supporter of the ABF. We have an extensive and proud relationship with them,” says Sharlene Vallance, Fundraising Officer for the ABF. “Fahmeeda and the team enthusiastically support the ABF providing airtime packages and decoders for our raffle.

"We know that these packages will bring in bulk funding and would like to voice our appreciation to Oracle Airtime Sales for this donation,” she says. One R50 000 airtime package has been allocated to the KwaZulu-Natal ABF committee for auction at its upcoming golf day. Members of the industry who are interested in participating in a silent auction for the available television airtime are asked to contact the KZN ABF chairperson, Kerry, on .

The ABF gains charitable donations through its core membership base and a few spectacular fundraising events throughout the year. Another chief source of income is through media packages provided by media owners like Oracle Airtime Sales to the ABF. These packages are either auctioned at a fundraiser or sold on to the highest industry bidder.

“This is just one way providing instant relief to many of our validation requests,” says Sharlene. “We have directly seen the benefits of ABF donations over the years and as a result have formed many solid relationships with our valued media owner partners.”
